How do I obtain a CCHL?

Here are three ways to apply for a CCHL.
Apply Electronically: (I think this is the easiest way)
1. Applicant locates a firearms safety instructor by going to: www.asp.arkansas.gov
then click on Handgun Safety Instructor Search to locate an instructor (bottom right side of the website)
2. Contact an instructor and Complete Firearms safety training class with Dogtown Firearms
3. Instructor assists applicant with:
       a) properly completed training page
       b) reviews paper application- answers any questions
       c) completes two fingerprint cards
       d) provides applicant with an up to date copy of the AR CHCL law and rules
4. Applicant will log onto www.arkansas.gov/chcl and complete the CHCL application and pay by credit card $147.25.
    Then instructor will mail the following to the Arkansas State Police:
      1) Properly completed training page (including the online tracking number)
      2) Two complete, classifiable fingerprint cards
      3) Application receives Priority processing once all info is received
The applicant can check the progress of their application online.
Apply through the U.S. Mail:
1. Applicant locates a firearms safety instructor by going to: www.asp.arkansas.gov
    then click on Handgun Safety Instructor Search to locate an instructor (bottom right side of the website)
2. Contact an instructor and Complete Firearms safety training class with Dogtown Firearms
3. Instructor assists applicant with:
       a) properly completed training page
       b) reviews paper application- answers any questions
       c) completes two fingerprint cards
       d) provides applicant with an up to date copy of the AR CHCL law and rules
4. Applicant will mail the following to the Arkansas State Police:
     1) Properly completed training page
     2) Two complete, classifiable fingerprint cards
     3) Properly completed paper application
     4) A check or money order in the amount of $144.25
     5) Application is processed with all other paper applications
The applicant can check the progress of their application online.
Walk application into Arkansas State Police Headquarters:
1. Applicant locates a firearms safety instructor by going to: www.asp.arkansas.gov
    then click on Handgun Safety Instructor Search to locate an instructor (bottom right side of the website)
2. Contact an instructor and Complete Firearms safety training class with Dogtown Firearms
3. Instructor assists applicant with:
       a) properly completed training page
       b) reviews paper application- answers any questions
       c) provides applicant with an up to date copy of the AR CHCL law and rules
4. Applicant travels to ASP HQ, is fingerprinted and submits the following to ASP:
       1) properly completed training page
       2) Two complete, classifiable fingerprint cards
       3) Properly completed paper application
       4) A check, money order or cash in the amount of $144.25 or pay $150.00 by Credit Card
       5) Application is processed with all other paper applications
The applicant can check the progress of their application online.
